About us The Aiken County Tea Party was founded in October 2010. Our mission is not based on any political party's platform, but rather on the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Constitution was written by our founders to give power to the people and the States while limiting the powers of the federal government. We strongly believe that the United States must be returned to the people and the States as spelled out in the U.S. Constitution. Our motto comes from Samuel Adams: "It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."
